We’re back! High Potential Season 2 Episode 6 ‘Chasing Ghosts’ brings Halloween with all its haunted mansions, ghosts, and unexplained things to our favorite series, but most importantly, it gives us a much-needed heart-to-heart between mother and daughter. Ready?
Here we go!
Growing Up Feels So Good

Morgan and Ava finally spoke in High Potential Season 2 Episode 6 ‘Chasing Ghosts.’ It was just what they needed. Ava wanted her mom to treat her like an adult, but the truth is, she was throwing a tantrum like a little girl, but that’s normal; she’s still a teenager. The best part is that Ava realized she wasn’t behaving well and went to talk to Morgan. She’s growing up, and we love it!
And we really enjoyed the conversation, too. They both showed their cards and put themselves in each other’s shoes. Ava is sorry for worrying Morgan and understands that she put herself in danger and that Morgan had a right to worry. But she won’t apologize for doing what she thought was best. That rebellion, that determination, that courage to throw herself into the mud without fear—that’s all Morgan. And Ava is proud to feel like she’s like her mother and know that she would have done the same. It makes her feel closer to her, more…connected to her.
Ava has often felt excluded from her own family and as if there’s a huge wall between her and her mother. While Elliott resembles Morgan and they share her high abilities, Ava had nothing similar, nothing that made her feel so close to Morgan. But now she has. And, as she makes clear to Morgan in High Potential Season 2 Episode 6 ‘Chasing Ghosts,’ she won’t apologize for it.
And Morgan doesn’t want her to. She just wanted Ava to understand the danger she was in…and that Morgan can’t let her do it again. Morgan can’t continue investigating what happened with Roman, not if it means Ava won’t be safe and will take unnecessary risks. But Ava needs Morgan to keep investigating. She needs to know what happened and why her father left and hasn’t shown up for so many years. Ava needs the truth, no matter how painful it is.
And Ava only trusts her mother to find out. That’s why she gives in and promises her mother that she’ll listen, and if Morgan tells her to let her handle it, she will. So, with the trust between mother and daughter restored, they both confront that bag in High Potential Season 2 Episode 6 ‘Chasing Ghosts,’ hoping it holds some of the answers they so desperately need. Although we honestly think it will hold more questions than answers.

Other Stuff in High Potential Season 2 Episode 6 ‘Chasing Ghosts’

- Was Nick’s interrogation strategy a good one? Yes. But he’s right on track, and he definitely should have told Selena and Oz what he was going to do.
- We still don’t trust him.
- That’s why we’re not happy that he and Morgan have started talking about personal things.
- Do we sense a spark here? Hmm…
- In any case, we didn’t miss Morgan saying she’s not interested in long-term relationships or commitment. That’s one of the reasons why she and Karadec shouldn’t be a couple right now.
- Morgadec will happen… but when they’re both ready for it. And they will be.
- Eliott’s costume is super cute. Complicated, different, and so him that we love it.
- Eliott is wonderful, trying to mediate between his sister and his mother. But Morgan is right: it’s not his job to fix what’s happening.
- We’re proud of Morgan and Ava.
