Are you tired of the Targaryens yet? Because more are coming! That’s right, HBO is bringing us another sequel to Game of Thrones, and technically, a sequel to House of the Dragon, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. But what is it about?
Here’s everything we know about the show:
Logline
A century before the events of “Game of Thrones,” two unlikely heroes wandered Westeros… a young, naïve but courageous knight, Ser Duncan the Tall, and his diminutive squire, Egg. Set in an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne, and the memory of the last dragon has not yet passed from living memory, great destinies, powerful foes, and dangerous exploits all await these improbable and incomparable friends.
Are there any pictures?

Release Date
The show, which is set to have six episodes, is set to debut on Sunday, January 18, at 10/9c on HBO and will be available to stream on HBO Max.
Is the Show Renewed for Season 2?
It is! Before Season 1 even premiered, HBO announced that the show would be returning for Season 2, set to premiere in 2027. The renewal was announced alongside the Season 4 announcement for House of the Dragon.
“We are thrilled to be able to deliver new seasons of these two series for the next three years, for the legion of fans of the ‘Game of Thrones’ universe. Together, HOUSE OF THE DRAGON and A KNIGHT OF THE SEVEN KINGDOMS reveal just how expansive and richly imagined George R. R. Martin’s universe continues to be. In January, I think audiences will be delighted by the inspiring underdog tale of Dunk and Egg that George and Ira Parker have captured so beautifully. And this summer, HOUSE OF THE DRAGON is set to ignite once again with some of its most epic battles yet,” said Francesca Orsi, EVP, HBO Programming, Head of HBO Drama Series and Films.
