We don’t know much about Edmund Donovan, but we are about to. Why? The man was cast in The Nightingale opposite Dakota and Elle Fanning.
We’ve been hearing about this adaption forever, but it keeps getting put off. We’re not sure why, but hey, it is Hollywood. It makes us excited to hear about some casting for the movie, because that is moving forward.
And we like moving forward.
The hype around The Nightingale has been pretty big, because it will have sisters Dakota and Elle Fanning sharing the silver screen for the first time.
The movie is an adaptation of Kristin Hannah’s international bestseller. It is, “set on the eve of World War II and follows the sisters’ struggle to survive and resist the German occupation of France. The story was inspired by the courageous women of the French Resistance who helped downed Allied airmen escape Nazi-occupied territory and hid Jewish children.”
We don’t know what role that Donovan is playing, but we are looking forward to finding out. We’re digging out our copy of the book and going to start preparing ourselves for what is yet to come.
