With the success of People We Meet On Vacation, we’ve been waiting on the casting for the rest of her novels. We’re just excited that Beach Reads is the one that casting was announced for.
Bridgerton star Phoebe Dynevor will star as January Andrews in the adaptation from 20th Century.
Yulin Kuang, who also co-wrote the adaptation of People We Meet on Vacation will be directing the adaptation. She also wrote the script.
The rights to Beach Reads were snapped up in 2023 by 20th Century and we have to admit that we were wondering if it was ever going to be made. But hey, here were are and you know what they say – all good things come to those who wait.
We need to know who is going to play Augustus “Gus” Everett now. There are so many great actors out there and we would definitely sell our soul to see the chemistry reads that had to have happened by now. Some say Logan Lerman would be a good Gus, but we’d really love to see Drew Starkey, Callum Turner or Dev Patel in the role.
