When Ashley Tisdale’s name is mentioned lately, we don’t know about you, but all we think of is the Mom group essay. That thing made waves and we’re definitely not shaming anyone for telling their truth. Sometimes it has to be done. Why it needs to be done in the public eye we may not get, but also, any publicity is good publicity, right?
Turns out that Tisdale did have something coming up and though we’re not saying that she wrote the essay because of that, we’re just saying. The actress has booked a leading role in a new sitcom, You’re Only Young Twice. She is also producing the new show for NBC.
The show is about co-parenting and finding your life after your kid goes off to college. According to Deadline the shows premise is, “Emily (Tisdale) and Alex, who got pregnant and married in high school but now they’re 35 and their kid is starting college. That means they can get divorced and start life all over again while they’re still young enough to enjoy it. Newly divorced empty-nesters, they stumble through dating, co-parenting, and maybe a second chance at love.”
You’re Only Young Twice is written Tommy Johnagin (Ted Animated, That 90’s Show), who will also be producing alongside Tisdale and Mandy Summers (That 90s Show, The Pradeeps of Pittsburgh, A Different World reboot).
Does this sound like a show you’ll watch? What do you think? Tell us all the things.
