When Charles, Oliver, and Mabel take their investigative skills to London for Only Murders in the Building Season 6, they will meet several new characters. For those who need a refresher, Only Murders in the Building Season 5 ended with a new mystery landing on the iconic trio’s doorstep – or right outside of their beloved Arconia. Cinda Canning (Tina Fey) reappears and, seemingly, dies, at just the right place for Charles, Oliver, and Mabel to discover what happened to her. It all seems to be connected to Cinda’s latest podcast, “The Girl with the Curls.” She tells the story of someone (herself) being accused of killing a royal descendant in London.
So, the trio will likely leave behind most – if not all – of the characters Only Murders in the Building fans have come to know, love, and sometimes even mourn. It wouldn’t make all that much sense for the entire building of characters to relocate to the UK. However, a behind-the-scenes photo from production shows Da’Vine Joy Randolph with Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez. Perhaps Charles, Oliver, and Mabel lean on Detective Donna Williams, someone they trust and vice versa, with this case.

SEAN TEALE
Otherwise, it’s all new characters – so far – for Only Murders in the Building Season 6. Deadline exclusively reported that Jennifer Saunders, Sean Teale, Simone Ashley, Amar Chadha-Patel, Rhea Norwood, Matthew Beard, and Sharon Horgan are among the new and recurring guest stars. Then, Variety reported that Martin Freeman, Geri Halliwell-Horner, Jamie Demetriou, Anjana Vasan, Jane Horrocks, Derek Jacobi, and Lesley Nicol would join the show, too. As of now, very little is known about their characters or the larger plot.
That doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of things to enjoy about this casting. Simone Ashley in one of TV’s best comedies? Incredible and well-deserved. Sean Teale back on our TVs after Doctor Odyssey? A joy! Geri Halliwell-Horner, a literal Spice Girl, being a part of Only Murders in the Building? Dare I say, legendary. Honestly, everything we learn about their characters will only be a bonus. They could be playing anything from versions of themselves, as Only Murders in the Building Season 4 proved with the movie about the podcast. They could be connected to Cinda or a royal family or literally anyone else.
One thing is for sure: this cast is great and keeps getting better. I will keep updating this article whenever we get any new information about Only Murders in the Building Season 6’s cast. Hopefully, this is only the beginning!
