We watch a lot of TV and movies! So yeah, we’re fangirling over a lot of things! Each week we come together to highlight all the feels they give us throughout the week. On these Fangirlish Feels of the Week, there are five categories and many thoughts! Ready?
Here we go!
Best Scene of the Week

Raquel: Rhaenyra finally seated on the Iron Throne in HBO’s House of the Dragon. At last, the true queen is reclaiming her place!
Rachel: I wanted much more from the script of Supergirl but the scenes on Krypton were the best of the film, I thought. I preferred the design of those moments and the elements of the visuals there to the rest of the movie, and the emotional beats did a lot to flesh out Kara as a character.
Jasmine: Lestat’s “Darling Nikki” moment when he sang “Big Boss” to Armand. If you don’t know what “Darling Nikki” is, it’s a song Prince performs in the film Purple Rain. I implore you to check it out to understand why I said this. But that moment was so delicious. Armand had to just stand there and take it. He couldn’t lose his cool as Lestat delivered the best diss track.
Miah: Dutton Ranch had an intense season finale, but my favourite scene was when RIP helped Beth at the 10 Petals warehouse. It’s the technicality and sequencing of the scene that I loved so much, because at first it looks like Beth is alone when confronting the 10P rancher, but when the rancher grabs her arm, it’s over for him, because as we find out RIP is right behind him.
The take down is very action movie-esque, and it keeps the Yellowstone intensity, but with a fresher execution. Beth and RIPs little quippy greetings to each other also make the scene all the more bada**. I mean RIP just annihilated this rancher and proceeds to greet Beth with “Sweetheart” – BRILLIANT.
Ship of the Week

Lizzie: I’m sorry to say it’s Rhaenyra and Daemon in House of the Dragon. They just walked into King’s Landing together, and took back the throne. And everything from Daemon going “She’s got me” to him walking around killing people so she could sit on the throne was pretty badass.
Plus, the moment where he gives her the sword so she is the one to kill Otto is a pretty big move for Daemon, one that proves that he doesn’t actually want to undermine her. He wants her to rule and he wants her to be a good Queen. He’ll just be here, killing people for her. Casual stuff.
Rachel: This week, I guess I’ll say Enola and Tewkesbury in Enola Holmes 3. The film was only OK compared to the first two, but this couple works well and they got married this time! Their youthful, sweet, and supportive energy was probably the most enjoyable part of the film.
Raquel: I completely agree with Lizzie and Rachel on this! Plus, I’d add Oliver and Josh from Brilliant Minds. The series finale finally brought them together and reminded us why we loved them from the very beginning. Kudos to Elle and Dustin from Elle.
Miah: Beth and RIP in Dutton Ranch were exceptionally well coupled this week. Their trust in each other and their ability to stay soft with each other despite the high stakes mess around them was heartwarming to watch. It’s always enjoyable to see them fight to protect their little life that they worked so hard to build, and it just goes to show how much they love each other.
They are also a power couple in the way they move against those out to get them, like when Beth takes a smoke break while RIP knocks out Rob-Will and then proceeds to do the talking while RIP holds him down. They are an absolute UNIT.
Aracelis: I have to go with Aniya and Carl from Love Island USA. They have completely consumed me, and I’m not ashamed to say I’ve solely been watching for them (and Bryce and Trinity, of course). They’re finally in a couple, which somehow felt like it took much longer than it actually did. And that speech? Come on! That was cheese served on the finest platter, and it’s exactly what Aniya wants. Carl gave her exactly that. I cannot wait to see more of them as the season continues this month—butterflies, flower-shaped fruit, and all.
Best Performance of the Week

Lizzie: Emma D’Arcy, the performer that you are. They really brought it this week, particularly in that scene where Rhaenyra sees Jace’s body. I was fully in the moment, and then what they gave me was so powerful that I felt it transcend a little and bring out actual pain in me. The sign of a flawless performance. Give them an Emmy. A Golden Globe. Every award, actually.
Jasmine: I second what Lizzie said. Emma D’ Arcy is INCREDIBLE! They bring every emotion out as Rhaenrya. I already knew after Episode 3×01 of House of the Dragon their scenes would be painful and powerful in Episode 3×02. And as usual they did not disappoint. And yes they deserve all the awards!
Raquel: I completely agree with Lizzie and Jasmine! And Lexi Minetree is perfect as Elle Woods in Elle! She was born for that role.
Moment that Annoyed Us This Week

Rachel: OK, the way the final fight between Enola and Moriarity was staged in Enola Holmes 3 got on my nerves. It wasn’t completely coherently edited and it also felt like they were concerned with hedging their bets to keep Moriarty alive so she can escape and face the Holmes family yet again. Gotta keep the franchise alive, I guess. *shrugs*
Jasmine: Lestat’s mother Gabriella in The Vampire Lestat Episode 1×04 manipulating him into getting back out onstage when he was ready to quit. He had just made it through someone attempting to murder him, his bandmates quit, and he was emotionally drained. Instead of her being there for him she used that vulnerability. It was very much giving “Momager” vibes. I’m so ready for him to cut her loose once and for all.
Aracelis: I was so upset when they sent Jen home on last night’s episode of Love Island USA. Although I definitely saw it coming, I just cannot stand Gal—sorry, not sorry. Jen was so honest about everything, and I really appreciated that about her. I don’t know, maybe I just love a fellow man-hater, but I was genuinely sad to see her go.
Quote of the Week

Jasmine: “Unless of course Louis de Pointe du Lac was actually interviewed by a two time Pulitzer prize winning mortal in Dubai and I. AM. ACTUALLY. THE TOXIC B—.” – Lestat. The Vampire Lestat Episode 1×04.
Miah: “Oh. You’re gonna regret that.” – Beth. Dutton Ranch Episode 1×09.
Aracelis: “And although revenge is sweet, i think this girl’s is a little sweeter.” — Carl, Love Island USA.
