If there is one persons books that you should be reading, it is Rebecca Serle. She writes these beautifully romantic books that tug at ones soul and do something that no one else can do (at least for me). She makes me believe in love.
Now, we’re coming another step closer to one of my favorite books from the author making its way to the silver screen. One Italian Summer is about a woman named Katy who travels alone to Positano on the Amalfi Coast for the dream vacation she and Carol (her mother, who has passed) planned together. When she gets to the Almalfi Coast, something happens. She sees her mother, only thirty years younger and long before she was born. Katy gets to know her mother as a young adult rather than a parent, forcing her to rethink everything she knew.
It’s a page turner. One that had this writer laughing and crying. And now, it’s being brought to life with Brie Larson playing Katy.
Enola Holmes director Harry Bradbeer, is set to helm the production. The movie is set to premiere on Mother’s Day weekend, May 12, 2028. That gives you plenty of time to pick up the book and read it.
We’re set. Can’t wait to see. More casting soon, please!
