We watch a lot of TV and movies! So yeah, we’re fangirling over a lot of things! Each week we come together to highlight all the feels they give us throughout the week. On these Fangirlish Feels of the Week, there are five categories and many thoughts! Ready?
Here we go!
Best Scene of the Week

Raquel: Ellen finishing off Mackinney in Blood of My Blood Season 2 Episode 3. Seeing her covered in blood, protecting her clan, was awesome! And I loved that the women united to fight for their home.
Miah: Deborah going off on Candace from A Different World. I kid you not, I had the same reaction as Rashida, Amir and Kojo – at the same time (if that’s possible). Deborah’s delivery was calm but lethal and absolutely destroyed Candace, as she deserved. Deborah truly gives main character energy.
Rachel: The moment in Lanterns 1×07 when Kerry sees the Hal-ogram really hit me. I complained last week about Hal and Kerry being together during the time jump and we never got to see any of it. Well, this scene did a bit to make up for that. With Kelly Macdonald’s performance when she sees the hologram version of Hal, I FELT what he meant to her. John’s interaction with Kerry to prepare her for (sort of) seeing Hal again, and Kyle Chandler managing to have chemistry with both of them even as a “recording” of Hal, made the whole scene great.
Ashley W.: I’m with Rachel on this one! The scene with Kerry and the Hal-ogram was so emotional and well-done. I really enjoyed seeing their dynamic and seeing the anguish of how Kerry reacted and answered the Hal-ogram’s questions.
Shana: I mean, it was corny and stupid and all, but I kinda screamed a random Mama Pao appeared in the Drag Race México: Latina Royale finale as the driver.
Ship of the Week

Shelby: Regardless of the pacing of their story this season, I can’t deny how incredibly cute Roy and Keeley were in this week’s Ted Lasso. Him reenacting the match with her make-up tools and shampoo bottle so that she can still have the experience and maintain low blood pressure was super romantic. It’s been so long since the show has seen the couple just exist together like this, so it was extra nice.
Miah: Louisa and Martin from Best Medicine. Their chemistry and ability to read each other is organic and palpable. They bring out the best in each other, and they know how to ground each other when the other is spiraling. From Louisa convincing Martin Port Wen was embracing him not taunting him, and Martin convincing Louisa she’d make the best mom, they give each other much needed perspective.
Rachel: It’s Olive and Adam from The Love Hypothesis again this week! Not only did I rewatch the film (of course!), but author Ali Hazelwood announced a sequel novel coming out in 2027 called The Two-Body Problem! And the movie adaptation of it is already in development too! More Adam and Olive on our pages AND screens!!
Ashley W.: I want to give some love to Jo and Raissa in Forgotten Island. It was incredibly heartwarming to see how their friendship formed, developed, and persisted throughout everything they’ve gone through, from growing up to losing Jo’s lola to surviving the island. Their friendship was a reminder of how friends can be family and that friendships are important bonds and crucial relationships that require work but are worth it.
Best Performance of the Week

Raquel: Harriet Slater from STARZ’s Blood of my Blood!
Shelby: I need everyone to give the Scrubs revival a chance if they haven’t because that cast – returning and new members alike – are delivering very funny and very endearing performances. So, it may be cheating, but I’m going to say the entire Scrubs cast.
Rachel: Robert Pattinson gave an excellent performance as Chris Hansen in Primetime. The whole film is good, but the story has a very specific tone that the actors, especially the lead actor, needs to nail in order for the whole thing to work. Pattinson does. I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets awards attention for this one.
Ashley W.: I loved Manny Jacinto’s performance as Bungi in Forgotten Island. I didn’t know I needed to experience him voice a demon baby, but I’m so glad I have. It’s amazing to think he’s the same person who brought us Qimir in The Acolyte given the vast difference between the two characters. His voice work as Bungi kept reminding me of Jason Mendoza from The Good Place in the best way, but then, he’d really up the ante with the naive baby side of Bungi. It reminded me that voice actors always deserve more love.
Shana: I have to give a huge shoutout to everyone involved with the latest episode of Drag Race Philippines Season 4—everyone, both in front of and behind the camera. I can’t fathom how difficult it was for the queens to go back to that competition after their sister Misua (may she rest in peace) passed in the middle of filming the episode, or for Mama Pao to get up on the mainstage to give that speech and then flip to regular “host” mode, or for production to figure…any of it out, really. But the result was such a beautiful tribute, the usual insane quality from a Drag Race Philippines Girl Group Challenge shining through all the hurt, and the most “real” a reality TV show has ever felt.
…but just because these people can embody “the show must go on” so well after such a tragedy doesn’t mean I’m not sick of Drag Race Philippines, specifically, facing so much loss. They all deserve nothing but good things from now on, universe. Please and thank you in advance.
Jasmine: Clare’s breakdown in the kitchen in Line of Fire 1×02. She was doing her best to put on a brave face in front of her family over losing Logan. But everyone doing check ins and talking around her about how she was feeling was too much. When she stepped away the panic attack came. Kat Cunning did an incredible job showing what it looks like when you’re overwhelmed by grief.
Moment that Annoyed Us This Week

Raquel: Moura being a coward and an idiot in Blood of My Blood 2×03. Did she seriously trust that those guys’ word meant anything?
Shelby: Mae’s death on Ted Lasso. It’s only been a few days, but I’m still not over it. I can’t imagine a women’s team match without her…or the Crown and Anchor with her…or Richmond without her…or, even, Ted Lasso without her.
Miah: Finally finished A Different World this week and Byron having the gall to “Baby, please” Dwayne in a taunting way pissed me off. That “Baby please” went down in HISTORY. It was considered a standard amongst viewers AND it got Whitley to go for Dwayne, so you know what, Byron can taunt but that “Baby please” was better than Byron himself.
