We watch a lot of TV and movies! So yeah, we’re fangirling over a lot of things! Each week we come together to highlight all the feels they give us throughout the week. On these Fangirlish Feels of the Week, there are five categories and many thoughts! Ready?

Best Scene of the Week
Raquel: House of the Dragon season 3 finale really went all out with that massive battle. And that’s what I’m here for. I’m here for the blood and guts and to see the birth of Rhaenyra the Cruel.
Jasmine: Listen, I know it was slightly unhinged, but I loved every moment of Alice getting back at Marshall on Furious Episode 1×05. What he did to her was so much worse in my opinion so this get back was deserved.
Ashley W.: Without giving away too much, *that* scene with Nightcrawler at the end of the X-Men ‘97 season 2 finale was so good. It took me by surprise, but it also felt appropriate.
Rachel: Well, I don’t know about best, but the most frightening scene this week was definitely in The End of Oak Street when the giant prehistoric snake attacks Anne Hathaway’s Denise and her family. The acting and editing raise the tension to an unbearable level, and the CGI is excellent. The most memorable attack scene in a film with a lot of them.
Ship of the Week
Raquel: Daemon and Rhaenyra. When Daemon said “yes” to being the bloody one just so she wouldn’t be perceived as a villain…yeah, that’s why I’ve shipped them from the beginning.
Shana: I finally watched Sterling Point, and I have to say, Oona and Ramona’s relationship was everything. Even than angsty ending worked (though, I wish it hadn’t happened).
Jasmine: Do friendships count because I’m over the moon that my favorite BFFs Romy and Michelle reunited at D23 2026 to share news about the Romy and Michele sequel. I am so ready to see Lisa Kudrow and Mira Sorvino on screen again playing two of my favorite characters.
Ashley W.: After watching the X-Men ‘97 season 2 finale, how could I pick anything other than Rogue and Gambit? It was touching to see how determined Rogue was to get Gambit back, and the stakes made it all the more intriguing. But also, now that I’ve watched all of Sterling Point, I also have to show some love for the sisterly love between Anna and Ramona. Seeing them evolve from strangers to sisters with a legitimate bond was very heartwarming.
Best Performance of the Week
Raquel: Phia Saban and Emma D’Arcy. I’m not a fan of how they ruined Helaena’s story in HBO’s House of the Dragon, but she was always amazing and I’ll miss her. And D’Arcy doesn’t need words to convey everything.
Shana: Sure the top 2 were great and all, but it was such a gift to have one more Makayla Couture lip sync on Canada’s Drag Race All Stars before the season officially ended. That mini challenge…easiest, most predictable, most deserved outcome ever.
Ashley W.: I finally got around to watching Sterling Point, and Ella Rubin was very impressive as Annie. It was great to see the character’s growth and how Rubin tackled that. There are a lot of compelling things from that show, and Rubin’s performance is a standout for me.
Rachel: I’m going with Anne Hathaway in The End of Oak Street. She makes Denise a MOTHER in every sense. She is strong and real and relatable. I definitely want her on my side if dinosaurs show up in my neighborhood! Just another top-notch performance from Hathaway this summer.
Moment that Annoyed Us This Week
Shana: Chris Carter’s “director’s cut” of The X-Files: I Want to Believe has, once again, proved that he still doesn’t know why people loved the series in the first place. Hint: It’s not the increasingly-messy (especially by that point and, even worse, in the time of the revival) so-called mythology.
Jennifer: The critique for Erik and Selena’s dance in this week’s episode of Dancing With The Stars: The Next Pro. I’m a firm believer that silence and/or talent can make a wow moment. So, to see that the best dance of the night was criticized so hard because there wasn’t a big shiny moment was kind of ridiculous. I’m sad to see Erik go after he and Selena gave us a great contemporary performance.
Jasmine: Dani Dupree on Beyond the Gates. Sis was working my nerves all week over her behavior about her ex-husband Bill. Look, I know the man suffered a medical emergency but he was also a terrible husband and treated her even worse after they divorced and he remarried her daughters best friend. I also know she and Bill are on somewhat good terms now but her continuing to chase after him, when he should be working to earn her back is annoying.
Rachel: I’m still fuming over the fascistic apology narrative of One Night Only. I REALLY wanted a good big-screen rom-com but what we got was, “Maybe the fascists got this one right.” Ummm…I DON’T THINK SO. I will always be salty about it.
