We watch a lot of TV and movies! So yeah, we’re fangirling over a lot of things! Each week we come together to highlight all the feels they give us throughout the week. On these Fangirlish Feels of the Week, there are five categories and many thoughts! Ready?

Best Scene of the Week
Gissane: All my answers will be related to Sterling Point this week because I’m in awe of everything this show’s done. But that said, I literally can’t even choose a single scene because there are too many good ones like all the girls howling at the moon during camp; Oona and Ramona’s first kiss; Ellis and Annie’s first kiss in the closet followed by the boat kiss; Annie imagining what it’d be like to have been raised by their mom; Annie and Ramona’s last conversation (and literally every scene these two share!). The show’s so special—the best thing of the week in every way.
Shana: The “Charisma” (Snatch Game) portion of this week’s Canada’s Drag Race All Stars. So, so good.
Jennifer: I’ve been thinking about Erik and Selena’s Argentine tango in this week’s episode of Dancing With The Stars: The Next Pro nonstop. The chemistry was off the charts and I personally believe it’s the best dance the show has produced so far. I can’t stop rewatching it.
Jasmine: That dragon vs dragon scene in House of the Dragon episode 3×07. I was not expecting that at all. When Daemon showed up to see Rhaena and Sheepstealer she was already on edge about everything and felt like she couldn’t trust anyone. Then Rhaenyra showed up and all bets were off! The dragons took over and it was an insane moment that had me glued to the screen because I just knew Sheepstealer was done but he survived!
Raquel: All Jasmine said! That was so awesome!
Ship of the Week
Raquel: I’ve already finished Sullivan’s Crossing so I have to say Maggie and Cal!! Even though the love triangle was a mess, their love came out stronger from it.
Gissane: It’s a solid tie between Annie and Ellis, plus Ramona and Oona from Sterling Point. One slow burn, another best friends to lovers? Say less. It’s been a while since I watched my screeners for this show, and still, they’re it. Every scene we get with them is so well written I’ll never get over it.
Ashley W.: I’m going to highlight a friendship here, because those are important relationships, too! Spider-Man: Brand New Day did a great job of doing justice to (and setting up a future for) Peter Parker and Ned Leeds’s friendship. The Lego scene was sad but ultimately so heartwarming and one of the best in the movie.

Gissane: I refuse to choose between Ella Rubin and Amélie Hoeferle. From the second they each respectively appear on our screens in Sterling Point, it’s clear they’re stars in the making. The show is so well written and directed, but if these two weren’t the stars, I can’t imagine it having the same appeal. There’s something so magnetic about the way they move, talk, and embody their respective characters. I’m now a forever fan of both and will watch them in anything. They feel like sisters, which is also why it feels wrong to separate them in a category like this.
Shana: Jada Shada Hudson has been killing it all season on Canada’s Drag Race All Stars, and she was especially good this week—the Snatch Game was hilarious, the photoshoot was fab, and my God the presence in the “Nerve” round was everything. I only took my eyes off her when the camera made it impossible not to. Just brilliant. (Honorable mention to Nearah Nuff for that lip sync…as the assassin does.)
Ashley W.: Shoutout to A.J. LoCascio for his work as the voice actor for Gambit in X-Men ‘97! Voice actors don’t always get the same love and appreciation for their work, but his performance in X-Men ‘97 episode 2×08: “The Dead Man’s Hand” helped make the storyline the intriguing thriller it was.
Moment that Annoyed Us This Week
Jasmine: Honestly, the lack of Catherine on Furious Episode 1×04. The first three episodes started off strong showing us who she is. But I feel like this episode was a bit muted. I need to start seeing Catherine’s backstory as to why she made the decision to become a killer. I know we learned about what happened to her friend Isabel. Or at least what the cops believe happened.
But I need HER origin story at some point. Like what was the tipping point? I’m sure Isabel’s murder had a lot to do with it. But there’s more I feel we don’t know about her yet. Did she maybe go to Nora and Ed to tell them what happened because she knew there was no way Isabel died of an overdose and they dismissed her because she’s a sex worker? What was the thing that made her say, “I’m taking these men out and getting justice myself.”
Gissane: I’m so stressed that Connor went behind Annie’s back and tried contacting their birth parents in Sterling Point. And thinking of all the drama that’ll likely bring in Season 2 has me so antsy already.
Shana: Terrible people outed Alysa Liu’s trans sibling and provided identifying information that could lead to real harm, supposedly because they care about kids.
Jennifer: I rolled my eyes at Tristan’s pettiness toward Stephani in this week’s episode of Dancing With The Stars: The Next Pro. Understandably, he was hurt by not being picked by his closest friend for the chemistry test. But come on! This is a competition where egos need to be checked at the door. Stephani didn’t deserve the cold shoulder when their spots in the competition were threatened.
Ashley W.: Wonder Man co-creators Destin Daniel Cretton and Andrew Guest both spoke about the Marvel show’s recent cancellation, and it makes the decision to cancel season 2 even more infuriating. Because Guest said on TikTok there were no scheduling conflicts, contracts were signed, a first episode was written, and the season had an outline.
Meanwhile, Cretton said he doesn’t understand the cancellation and that Marvel head Kevin Feige would have decided to continue the show if it were up to him. As upsetting as it is for fans to lose out on more Wonder Man, it’s ridiculous that Disney and Marvel don’t even bother to be transparent with the creators.
