When it comes to Hallmark movies, we will always stop and watch a Rhiannon Fish movie. Why? Because she radiates pure joy, and we’re not in the habit of turning down something that makes us happy.
Especially when that something comes with Christmas decorations and the possibility of a little romance.
Fish stars alongside Jake Foy and Mila Morgan in Who’s Coming for Christmas, a Countdown to Christmas movie that has us thinking about what makes a place feel like home. Sometimes, it’s the people who pull up a chair when you’re starting over.
A New Town, an Old Table, and Room for Eight
After relocating, Julie (Fish) is building a life in a new town with a few meaningful pieces of her past. Among the belongings she inherited from her late grandmother is a dining room table, where she plans to host her first Christmas Eve dinner.
There’s just one small detail she hasn’t figured out yet: who’s coming.
Julie has room for eight and faith that those seats will be filled. We have to admire that optimism, because putting yourself out there in a new place can be intimidating enough without adding a holiday dinner to the mix.
But that’s also what makes this setup so appealing. Her grandmother’s table gives Julie a connection to the home she’s known while leaving room for the life she’s beginning. She isn’t simply trying to recreate an old Christmas. She’s making space for new people to become part of it.

A Neighbor We’re Ready to Get Invested In
Julie’s friendly nature helps her find her place in the community, including a connection with her neighbor Mark (Foy) and his young daughter, Vanessa (Morgan).
A welcoming neighbor, a budding connection, and reasons to spend time together over the holidays? Hallmark, you have our attention.
Mark suggests that he and his family join Julie for Christmas Eve, bringing her dream of dinner for eight within reach. But when bad weather prevents his family from making the trip, it looks as though the evening will be just Julie, Mark, and Vanessa—unless a little Christmas magic brings more guests to the table.
We’re looking forward to seeing how that connection develops, especially with Julie finding her footing somewhere new. There’s something romantic about someone helping you feel welcome before you’ve quite figured out where you belong.
The Kind of Christmas Story We Want to Settle Into
What draws us to Who’s Coming for Christmas is the possibility that Julie’s holiday won’t look the way she planned, but could still become something she needs.
An inherited table. A new friendship. The beginnings of a community. There’s plenty of room here for a story about carrying someone’s love forward by offering a little of it to other people.
And with Rhiannon Fish at the center of it, we’re ready to pull up a chair.
PLOT
Having recently relocated, Julie (Fish) is setting up her new town using pieces she inherited from her late grandmother, including a beautiful dining room table she plans to use on Christmas Eve when she hosts dinner for the first time. Though she doesn’t have her guest list set just yet Julie takes inspiration from her grandmother and has faith that her holiday table for eight will be filled. Julie’s warm, friendly nature leads her to quickly become part of the community and make friends, including her neighbor Mark (Foy) and his young daughter Vanessa (Morgan). Mark suggests that he and his family could join her, making Julie’s dream of dinner for eight come true. But when bad weather keeps them from making the trip it looks like it will be a silent night with just the three of them unless a small Christmas miracle – or series of miracles – fills her holiday table.
