Now, I have never been a fan of anything that has to do with The Headless Horseman. The name Ichabod Crane always sent chills down my spine. The idea of someone riding around with a man hurling his head at you? Hard pass. Sleepy Hollow setting? Um… we’ll see because you’re really tempting us with all this casting.
The newest cast member? Well, Nicholas Galitzine, we do hoe the rumors of you taking on the role of Ichabod Crane are true.
Ichabod Crane fascinates me, but also scares me. Yet when you have Belmont Cameli and Nicholas Galitzine in the same movie we’re playing attention. Maybe it’s something i can watch through my fingers.
Sony’s Hollow is based on filmmaker Lindsey Anderson Beer’s forthcoming debut novel. Beer is also set to adapt her novel and will be directing. The book is set to be published in 2027 by Putnam.
The novel reimagines The Legend of Sleepy Hollow through the eyes of Katrina Van Tassel, who will be played by Sweeney. Rather than casting Katrina as a romantic prize, the story places her at the center of a dangerous mystery and a seductive supernatural love triangle. Blending gothic atmosphere with psychological intrigue and erotic-thriller tension, the novel offers a contemporary, high-concept take on Washington Irving’s classic tale.
Cameli taking on the role of Brom Bones is something that we’re definitely looking forward to. Now the question remains – what does one have to do to make sure Nicholas Galitzine signs on?
