In order to stay on top of blogging, you must stay on top of the latest and the greatest. Though we read a lot of how to’s, what’s new in social media, and technology blogs – we have our favorite sites that we like to read on the daily.
Entertainment is just one of the things in life we love. We are fangirls to the core, but we also love laughter, lifestyle, and pop culture blogs. We’re always curious to know what you guys like to read on the daily. But we thought we would share with you the websites that we can’t go a day without checking.
There is so much more out there than the Refinery 29, Hello Giggles, and Bustles of the world – though we read those on the regular too.
Blog: Poor Little It Girl
Why We Read It: We aren’t petite and we’re not blonde – but Cathy Anderson has such a great sense of style. She’s fun and really hears her audience.
Yes, Cathy is petite. But she always makes you feel like she’s putting the outfit together – she’s teaching you with every post. She is co-founder of The Blog Socities, which is a collection of lifestyle bloggers. She is using her platform for good and helping others improve their blogging style.
Blog: Tomboy KC
Why We Read It: We admit, we started reading it because of Katie Cassidy. We’re ride or die fans and when we heard that she was starting a lifestyle blog – count us in. But what we love about it is that it’s not only lifestyle – it is profiles, travel, and so much more. We feel like we’re getting more and more ideas of how we want to live our stylish lives.
Blog: Whohaha
Why We Read It: Who doesn’t love Elizabeth Banks? We do. So we gladly embrace anything and everything she does – including her latest website Whohaha. Guys – it’s not always serious and even when it is – the website educates, but also keeps us laughing. We can’t help how much we love that.
Blog: The Everygirl
Why We Read It: Not everyone is picking up to fly from place to place for the latest and greatest. Some of us are just everyday girls and not ashamed of it. The Everygirl gives us insight to every aspect of our lives – from fashion to cooking, shopping to traveling. It hits all aspects of our lives but the great thing about it – is this blog inspires us. We think more about the women that we want to be and gives us guidance along the way. It’s like your best friend – only in a blog form.
Blog: Big City, Little Blog
Why We Read It: We live in the big city and we love learning about things central to us. New York and Los Angeles are two of our favorite places in the world. We can’t get enough of either place. We love the recipes on the site as well as it’s restaurant suggestions.
Blog: That’s Normal
Why We Read It: Besides the fact that when we started blogging – that’s how long we have known Bekah and Nikki. They started in Twilight and so did we. That’s Normal makes light of everything and in this crazy world – we need that. We love Bekah and Nikki and the entire staff’s sense of humor. That’s Normal also introduced us to Aaron Tviet – so they will always be perfect to us for that.
Blog: P.S. I Made This
Why We Read It: Who doesn’t love to DIY. We like to try to and then wallow in the fact that we suck at it. Gives us the opportunity to try though and that’s an amazing thing. It’s therapeutic. Art is an amazing thing. And who knows, one day we may get better at all of the things we need to be better at. Maybe one day we’ll be good at DIY.
