I’m going to be blunt – I love Judi Dench, I do. I mean most of the movies that I have seen her in have been movies with my Grandma, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t respect the woman.
I do.
I just never thought that I would be typing the words that she is joining a YA book to movie adaptation. Sure, I know she was in Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. But that being said, I am okay with – excited really that the Dame is joining the adaptation of Eoin Colfer’s Artemis Fowl.
Now we don’t know who she will be playing – cause you know, we’re not that lucky to know that. Variety didn’t mention it when they broke the news.
We’re just excited that the adaptation is moving forward, because this feels like it has been dragging on for years.

Artemis Fowl will hit theaters August 19, 2019.
