Fandom. It’s something that we all take part in if you think about it. Some fandom is entertainment, some is lifestyle, some is food, so on and so forth.
Fandom is defined as “the state or condition of being a fan of someone or something.” When you think of all of the things in your life that you are a fan on, which one defines you? Which ones would you live and die for? Because as dramatic as that sounds, that is as dramatic as fandom is now a days.
2019 has been a complicated year in fandom. For us, we mainly talk about entertainment and book fandoms, and I know that it’s been one of those years where again – fandoms have fought for theirs to rise above – to be more than they were yesterday. So when we’re breaking down the top fandoms of 2019, it becomes difficult.
Because what has been the top to me, may not be the top ones for you. So sitting here and writing this, I look forward to all the responses of “you forgot this” or “my fandom deserves to be on this list.” Because writing this, I know that I may miss something, and I respect that your fandom may have been in your top.
