Mon-El is returning — and this fangirl is thriving!

I know I’m a little late here, but you’re going to have to excuse me because the news killed my poor Karamel heart and subsequently revived it.

This one goes out to all of my haters. Get ready to hear me roar because

MON-EL IS BACK, BITCHES!

You know when you don’t realize just how much you miss something until you start thinking about how much you miss it, BECAUSE I HAVE MISSED KARAMEL SO FUCKING MUCH.

I mean…

Just LOOK…

AT THEM!

They were one of the big reasons that I was so passionate about Supergirl — and guess what, that’s okay. I don’t need your permission to watch Supergirl for a ship. I don’t care if you hate my ship. All I care about is that I get to one of my favorite ships interact on screen once again!

When I learned I had to wait more than a week for Mon-El’s return (Giphy)

Now that we got that out of the way, let’s talk about the return of Mon-El for Supergirl‘s 100th episode, which airs Sunday night.

Obviously Supergirl‘s 100th episode is the perfect time to bring back Mon-El, but the question is how? Given the last time we saw Mon-El, he had returned to the future to help the Legion, a group of superheroes tasked with defending the universe.

Per the episode’s official synopsis, “Mxyzptlk returns with a proposition for Kara: What if she could go back in time and tell Lena her secret before Lex did? Would things turn out different? Looking back over key moments throughout the series, Kara must decide if she wants to change history to become friends with Lena again.”

So we know we’re going back in time, which would explain the reappearance of Mon-El. Also according to this photograph, Mon-El is already suited up and resembling his Season 3 self.

Also, we all know what happened the last time Mxyzptlk intervened, which delivered us an incredibly emotional and Karamel-filled hour of goodness.

While it doesn’t sound like Wood’s return is permanent (especially with Wood landing the Thirtysomething(else) pilot), that doesn’t rule out his return in the future. And if — when — that happens again, I’ll be here waiting for his return.
