One thing that we were looking forward to this summer was the sequel to Top Gun. It’s a movie that shaped our love of action, romance, and helped us develop our love for a man in uniform.
We knew that Tom Cruise ran a tight ship on the set of the sequel. Remember when Miles Teller talked about Tom Cruise giving them homework on the set? That was enough for us to know that it was a tight ship.
But Jennifer Connelly also talked about what it was like on the set of Top Gun: Maverick. She also stars in the sequel to the 1986 hit.
In speaking to Extra she talked about that tight ship that Tom Cruise ran on the set. We can only imagine how he was, because we’ve always heard rumors that he’s tough.
But maybe being tough isn’t so bad.
“I’ve never seen anyone work harder, be more committed to his work,” Connelly said about Tom Cruise. “Every moment is an opportunity to do all that he can do to deliver the best thing that he can possibly deliver.”
We all know that when someone is a perfectionist it is hard to live up their standards and can sometimes be very overwhelming.
But for Jennifer, it just made her want to bring out her A-game. She remarked that she was prepared with her lines and ready always.
Of course, the real thing that we all want to know is what we have to look forward to with Top Gun: Maverick.
“Those flying sequences are going to be so extraordinary. I think it is a movie that would be great to see on big screens if we can get there.” she said.
We hope that we get there too.
Top Gun: Maverick is due in theaters December 23rd.
