I know that we all don’t get everything we want out of life, but to be honest, I am quite sick of 2020 fucking me over. I don’t really ask for a lot out of life and my expectations are low – but that doesn’t mean I enjoy all of my joy being taken from me.
And today – the thief of my joy is ABC. So, in my anxious quarantined state, I am going to say something that I probably shouldn’t – but like fuck it – FUCK YOU FOR STEALING MY JOY, ABC.
How did they do just that? Well, they cancelled The Baker & The Beauty.
I am used to NBC fucking up and cancelling shows that deserve time and a space to find their audience. However, ABC was like: hold my beer NBC, I will piss her off more than you do.
The show, which was cancelled after its first season, was on the bubble. I knew that it was a possibility, but I also figured some old man in a suit sitting in an office would see that we all need a romantic comedy in our lives. So ya, this is my fault for expecting more of some detached suit that doesn’t know anything.
And so the one thing that gave me joy in quarantine – the one thing that I actually didn’t bitch about having to review – is gone.
I’ll apologize now to anyone who has to deal with me today. You can blame ABC for the reason I am a straight up bitch today.
