I am an HGTV and Cooking Channel junkie. Can I cook? No. Can I build stuff? Hell, no. I have enough trouble when I build Ikea furniture, so I am legitimately going to take nothing else on.
But just because I am incapable of home improvement or cooking doesn’t mean that I will ever stop watching all the shows about them. And one of my favorites just got renewed for a second season.
Selena + Chef will film a second season for HBO Max. If you aren’t familiar with the show, while in quarantine, Selena was learning to cook from world famous chefs via zoom.
And it was pretty interesting to watch, if you can get past the fish episode which had me gagging, cause though I love fish, I now realize that I never want to see it made.
Well the show apparently did so well that it’s been renewed.
“Learning from some of the best chefs in the world has vastly improved my cooking skills but I have a lot more to learn. I am looking forward to challenging myself in the kitchen on the next season,” Selena said in a statement.
We can’t wait to see what she makes. I’m waiting for someone to give grilled cheese all of the credit and expose that shit as the delicacy that it is.
“We are thrilled to continue the culinary fun of watching Selena in the kitchen on HBO Max. From her chemistry with each master chef to those colorful knives in the first season, we can’t wait to see what delicious surprises she has in store for season two,” Sarah Aubrey, Head of Original Content, HBO Max, said in a press release.
We can’t wait to see what chefs are in season 2. I think it would be cool also if Selena was the chef and taught a fan for an episode.
But I’m just saying.
All 10 episodes of the first season of Selena + Chef are streaming now on HBO Max.
