Disney+ announced Loki‘s new premiere date, pushing the series back a month. Marvel Studios’ Loki will now premiere on the streaming service on Friday, June 11th. This pushed date isn’t shocking, because Marvel Studios has been adjusting their line-up for more than a year now. Kevin Feige announced Loki‘s original May premiere date back in December at Disney’s Investor Day 2020. It’s understandable that it’d need to be adjusted since then.
A similar situation happened when WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier swapped places in the line-up, along with getting pushed back from their original premiere date. Loki isn’t the first thing to move around on the schedule, and it’s likely not the last.

Nonetheless, this glorious announcement is something to get excited about since it means we’ll get WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and Loki nearly back to back. We’ll have a small break to rest before we travel across various timelines with the God of Mischief. Following the patterns of Marvel Studios’ other streaming shows, there’s a good chance we’ll get a nice rollout of content prior to Loki‘s premiere, including magazines, interviews, more trailers, and maybe even a few clips. We are ready to look for all the clues in whatever they throw our way! We already did so with Loki‘s first trailer.
As for the MCU’s schedule, one would assume that Black Widow would fill the gap between TFATWS and Loki, but we still don’t have any news on that beyond its intended in theaters release. Although, Marvel Studios always has a card up its sleeve, and it would be strange from them not to have anything coming in May. This could bode well for Black Widow‘s release (finally!). For now we’ll look forward to what we know: Loki is going to be a blast and it’s only a few months away!
