This week’s FBI 3×07 “Discord”, was full of tension between the team, support staff, activists – pretty much everyone. Let’s discuss.
The Case and a Tight Rope
“Discord” starts off as the team hunts a killer who is fatally shooting seemingly unrelated targets, as an experience on the job has new agent Tiffany Wallace (Katherine Renee Turner) examining the tension between her career as an FBI special agent and the responsibility she feels to her community as a black woman.

Wallace is walking an extremely tight rope this week on “Discord.” She feels a clear conflict of interest because she is an FBI agent and a black woman. Tiffany is being pulled in two opposing directions – one on the side of her personal beliefs and the other as an FBI agent. Now, I can’t say I completely understand what she is going through because I am white. However, I can listen, learn and emphasize with her. It’s clearly a struggle and she needs to learn how to balance both parts of her.
There is a lot of injustice in this country and the African American community deserves answers and to be treated fairly. Make that any culture that is facing injustice. The world isn’t perfect and we have a lot of work to do to make it better.
Real World

“Discord” felt like a real-world scenario, probably because a version of it has been played out before. Innocent members of the black community being accused of crimes they didn’t commit, people being murdered, racist pricks that just want to create chaos and say they are doing it because it is “right.” Round and round we go and it never gets fixed. Someone always has an agenda and this case was no different.
A mother wanted vengeance because her son was sent to prison and was then hurt. So instead of letting his case go through the system, she goes all vigilante. She starts killing anyone that she thinks is responsible for it. What she doesn’t realize is that she is just making this cycle even worse.
We can all learn a lesson from this and I hope you were listening. “You don’t get to pick when you have integrity, when to stand up for what is right” – wise words spoken by Wallace. You should take them to heart and put them into practice.
On a side note, let’s celebrate! Nestor is no longer in the fucking picture. Maggie dumped his ass when he assumed she would just move in with him. I fucking wept with joy when she broke up with him. Now we don’t have to see his stupid controlling arrogant face anymore.
