Our anticipation and excitement for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is unbearable at this point. We are quickly nearing the single digits until this show premieres on Disney+. Thankfully, Marvel Studios is helping us fill the time by giving us photos, loads of TV Spots, and now new character posters.
Unsurprisingly, Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes look damn good. Sam’s right about that! These character posters let us see what the Falcon and the Winter Soldier’s suits will look like presumably at the start of the show. There’s a chance that they’ll evolve as the series progresses and Sam and Bucky step into their own as heroes. This unlikely duo captured our hearts five years ago. Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan showed us that their chemistry transcended the big screen and the Captain America: Civil War press tour. Now we’ll get to see them shine on their very own show!
It’s also feels fitting that these posters would drop on International Women’s Day. We all have our fingers crossed that TFATWS will finally give Sharon Carter what she deserves. These character posters also give us a glimpse into Sharon’s attire. Clearly she doesn’t want to be recognized. We’ll have to wait until March 19th to learn who or what Agent 13 is hiding and/or running from and why.
This is also the first time we’ve seen Baron Zemo fully suited up. We’ve seen a few quick shots in promotional footage, but nothing this clear. There is certainly a lot to learn about Zemo on The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. This suit, which is incredibly similar to that of the comics, has our attention. We don’t know if we’re on Zemo’s side in whatever’s ahead after everything that happened in Captain America: Civil War. Though, we’re sure TFATWS is going to let us learn more about his perspective then and now.
The series’ official description is as follows:
Marvel Studios’ “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier” stars Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson aka The Falcon, and Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes aka The Winter Soldier. The pair, who came together in the final moments of “Avengers: Endgame,” team up on a global adventure that tests their abilities—and their patience.
Directed by Kari Skogland with Malcolm Spellman serving as head writer, the series also stars Daniel Brühl as Zemo, Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter, and Wyatt Russell as John Walker.
