As we learn more and more news about the upcoming Marvel shows on Disney+, Fangirlish wants to make it easier for fans of the franchise to get up to date on all the things they need to know. This biweekly round-up includes some of the biggest and most fun news from the last two weeks about all of our upcoming favorite Marvel shows, like WandaVision, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier and Loki.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier
We will be one week out from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier by the time you read this round-up. That’s incredibly exciting, and it means we’re basically getting more and more news basically every day. For example, Disney+ released Bucky and Sam’s episodes of Marvel Studios: Legends early last Friday. By the time you read this, Sharon Carter and Baron Zemo’s episodes should be streaming, too! We got new character posters as well!
Additionally, we got new character posters and tons of TV spots highlighting different aspects of the show. While a lot of them recycle the same clips (surely to keep us in suspense for as long as possible), there are a couple of new scenes featured in them. The featurettes are starting to roll out, too, just like they did for WandaVision. Now that we know about ASSEMBLED, there’s a great chance this footage will show up again in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’s episode of that documentary series.

The arguably coolest and most surprising promotion for the series comes as an ad, starring Anthony Mackie, for Xbox. Mackie appears in character as Sam Wilson in the latest trailer for Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Series X and S. Sam talks about missing out on a lot of life between the Snap and the Blip, including watching his nephews grow up. This falls in line with what we know about The Falcon and the Winter Solider‘s plot — getting to know Sam Wilson on a personal level more than ever before. Since we essentially have confirmation that Sam’s sister Sarah will appear on the show, maybe we’ll get to see Sam catch up with his nephews.
Speaking of Anthony Mackie, he has been doing so many interviews lately, and we are not complaining. Obviously we can’t include all of them in this round-up, but we will point you in the direction of some of them you should check out. Mackie covered Variety magazine, and the cover story written by Matt Donnelly is a must-read from this round-up. A nice companion piece for that would be a conversation, per Variety, with Kevin Feige about Anthony Mackie. Mackie also stopped by Hot Ones and ate hot wings while talking about all things Sam Wilson and more, of course.
As for Mackie’s co-star in this venture, we haven’t gotten as much press with Sebastian Stan yet, but that is sure to change as we roll into premiere week. Stan did celebrate Bucky Barnes’ birthday with a very kind Instagram post that honors some of the hard work that goes into bringing Bucky Barnes to life. Happy Birthday, Bucky Barnes, from all of us at Fangirlish. We’ll love you until the end of the line!

WandaVision
Now that WandaVision is over, there’s tons of press about the finale and interviews that can discuss the series as a whole — without avoiding spoilers. We’ll include just a few of the ones you should check out. Head writer Jac Schaeffer and Elizabeth Olsen spoke to Variety about everything, including Wanda’s grief, Evan Peters, and the fan theories. Schaeffer spoke with Deadline, too, about WandaVision and how the show’s ending is what always was intended. It’s nice to her Olsen and Schaeffer speak so openly about all of the care that was put into the show and representing Wanda’s journey through grief.
Meanwhile, Matt Shakman spoke with Entertainment Tonight about the show and Wanda’s new suit. He shared that Elizabeth Olsen played a role in the creation of the new suit by suggesting what would make it more practical for the Scarlet Witch.
Also, by the time you read this, Assembled: The Making of WandaVision will be streaming on Disney+! There’s also a really fun Twitter thread you can check out with special messages from the cast ahead of the season finale.
Plus, the Marvel Must Haves for Episode 8 and 9 of WandaVision are available now! You can grab all the merchandise for the entire season if you want! Who doesn’t need one more Funko? You know what the White Vision one, or the Agatha Harkness one, or the Scarlet Witches ones. Why not just treat yourself to all of them?
