Personally, I think that Lucy Hale is a talented actress, and that she deserves a role that will help her breakout even more. Pretty Little Liars doesn’t define her as an actress, it defines her beginnings of being a household name.
She has booked a new role, the lead in Ragdoll, a crime drama series for AMC and Alibi based on the novel by Daniel Cole. The series comes from Sid Gentle Films, the British production company behind Killing Eve. So you know it is going to be good.
That being said, I don’t think I will watch it – because I don’t do crime dramas and knowing what the six part series is about scares me enough. It centers on, “the murder of six people whose bodies have been dismembered and sewn into the shape of one grotesque body — nicknamed “The Ragdoll.””
The description continues, “Assigned to the shocking case are DS Nathan Rose, recently reinstated to the London Met; his best friend and boss, DI Emily Baxter; and the unit’s new recruit, DC Lake Edmunds, portrayed by Hale. The “Ragdoll Killer” taunts the police by sending them a list of his next victims, with Rose’s name among them. And with those victims to protect, our heroes soon come under intense public scrutiny.”
Hard pass cause nightmares aren’t my thing and this sounds like it will give me nightmares.
Filming is set to begin this spring for a premiere later this year. Ragdoll will air on AMC.
Will you be watching or is this not your cup of tea? Do you like crime dramas?
