2020 was a weird year. We don’t have to tell you that. But like, on top of all the weird stuff that happened in the world, I also watched News of the World – a western! – and enjoyed it. And this feels like the cherry on top of weird things, I promise you, because this genre and I? Not good friends.
Starring Tom Hanks, News of the World follows a Civil War veteran who agrees to deliver a girl, taken by the Kiowa people years ago, to her aunt and uncle, against her will. They travel hundreds of miles and face grave dangers as they search for a place that either can call home.
Today we’ve got a treat for you, to coincide with the home entertainment release of the movie. This exclusive clip features Paul Greengrass (Director/Co-Writer) Helena Zengel “Johanna,” Tom Hanks “Captain Kidd,” Thomas Francis Murphy “Mr. Farley,” Fred Hechinger “John Calley,” and Gary Goetzman p.g.a.
