Disney is shaking up its release schedule once again. Release dates for certain movies feel more likely than ever with the announcement that some of them will debut simultaneously on Disney+ and in theaters. Black Widow, we’re looking at you. We’re here to break down all of the latest with you so that you know when and where to catch Disney’s upcoming films.
Black Widow will now debut simultaneously on Disney+ and in theaters on July 9, 2021. Its release on Disney+ comes via Premier Access, as Disney has done for Raya and the Last Dragon and Mulan. Disney giving Black Widow the Premier Access treatment makes us even more confident that this is finally it. We have been waiting for Natasha Romanoff to have her own movie for over a decade, and it’s finally in sight.

This slight bump to the release schedule may have MCU fans scratching their heads about when Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings will premiere now. Disney pushed that film to September 23, 2021. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is still set to be released only in theaters.
Disney announced Cruella, starring Emma Stone as the titular character, will premiere simultaneously on Disney+ and in theaters on May 28, 2021. Once again, Cruella will debut via Premier Access. The animated film Luca will skip the U.S. theatrical release and be available to stream on Disney+ June 18, 2021.
