In a year of not being able to go to the movies, I have to admit I have missed it. 2021 was supposed to bring so many good movies and they were all delayed.
I do understand the reasoning why and I am not mad. Just sad about it. But I do love Warner Bros. approach to releasing movies. My HBO Max subscription is being used for good.
And one movie that I can’t wait to watch is In The Heights.
Warner Bros. revealed that In the Heights‘ release date has been moved from June 18 to June 11.
Director Jon M. Chu wrote on Twitter, “Surprise. We coming to Theaters one week earlier!!! There has been so much demand since our trailer release this week that we decided to get it out to you sooner. Let’s gooooooooooooo!!!! See you soon. JUNE 11th 2021.”

In The Heights is the big screen adaptation of the musical of the same name. It tells the story of three days in the Washington Heights neighborhood of New York.
Anthony Ramos, Corey Hawkins, Jimmy Smits, Melissa Barrera, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Dascha Polanco and Stephanie Beatriz star in the film.
In the Heights, is Lin Manuel Miranda’s precursor to another musical he wrote – Hamilton. The show was a sensation itself, being nominated for 13 Tony Awards, winning four of those, including best musical.
The movie is directed by John M. Chu.
