As we learn more and more news about the upcoming Marvel shows on Disney+, Fangirlish wants to make it easier for the franchise fans to get up to date on all the things they need to know. So this biweekly round-up includes some of the biggest and most fun news from the last two weeks about all of our upcoming favorite Marvel Studios shows, like WandaVision, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, and Loki.

WandaVision
We’re sure you’re already aware that WandaVision swept the MTV Movie and TV Awards this year. You can check out all of their wins and some of the best Marvel-ous moments from the show here. Though the MTV Movie and TV Awards is a fan-voted event, it is a reminder that people love WandaVision. Audiences truly embraced it over its nine-episode run. Hopefully, this connection extends to the Academy as they consider whether WandaVision is Emmy-worthy.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier
There are only a few TFATWS updates to share with you in this round-up. Like always, don’t forget to check the Marvel Must Haves. TFATWS won two awards at the MTV Movie and TV Awards. Once again, check out those wins here. Marvel shared a behind-the-scenes look at the mechanics of Bucky’s Vibranium arm. You can watch the video of Eric Leven, VFX Supervisor on Marvel Studios’ The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, discussing that here.

Loki
There is lots of Loki news, which makes sense as we are less than a month away from its debut on Disney+. First, Tom Hiddleston unveiled a new clip at the MTV Movie and TV Awards. In that clip, we get confirmation that Owen Wilson is portraying Mobius. Next, Entertainment Weekly exclusively shared a new photo from the series. But the fun over at EW doesn’t stop there! Tom Hiddleston is the cover star of their latest digital issue, with the story written by Chancellor Agard. Trust us; you don’t want to miss out on all the Loki content they’re giving us.
That’s not even everything because we’re starting to head into TV Spot territory. This means that every time your turn on your TV, there is a chance that you’ll see an ad for Loki within the first few commercial breaks. One of the most recent looks at the show includes a new star of Loki: Miss Minutes.
Finally (for now), check out the official Loki poster below.

What If…?
We might be getting closer to What If…? ‘s premiere than we think. Entertainment Weekly gave us a little bit of info about the series in their exclusive look at 26 summer shows. The blurb is familiar with what we know about the series. The photo of Peggy Carter as a super soldier isn’t new either. It’s most exciting that EW includes What If..? will premiere in August on the streaming service. That’s still vague, but we’ll take it!
Ms. Marvel
Variety reported that Ms. Marvel wrapped its production in Thailand after production moved on from Georgia. The same report states the upcoming season will be six episodes long. There is still no update on when this series will debut on Disney+, but we know that it will be sometime this year. Kevin Feige confirmed as much when he shared a featurette for the show at Disney’s Investor Day 2020. We will keep you posted!
Secret Invasion
The Hollywood Reporter exclusively reported that Secret Invasion found its directors. Yes, directors, plural. The report confirms that Thomas Bezucha (Let Him Go) and Ali Selim (The Looming Tower) will direct the upcoming series. We are quickly learning more and more about this Disney+ series. Casting news keeps coming out about the show starring Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and Ben Mendelsohn as Talos. Now that the series has its directors, we wouldn’t be shocked if production started soon.
