Calling all The Witcher fans, we have news and it’s fun news! Whether you are a fan of the video games, the Netflix series, or books, you will be excited about this event.
The @witchergame and @witchernetflix Twitter accounts teased us about something in their convos. Many thought it could perhaps be the release date for season two of The Witcher or a new Witcher game.
But it was none of those things. It was in fact something completely different. It was….a CON! Yes, yes, you read that right! There is a The Witcher con coming and it shall be named WitcherCon.
CD PROJEKT RED and Netflix are teaming up for the virtual event for their global online celebration of The Witcher franchise. WitcherCon is slated to take place on July 9th, 2021, and is intended to bring Witcher fans, new, old, game, and book together for the first multi-format event for The Witcher franchise.
Here is the different things you can expect to happen at WitcherCon:
- Interactive panels featuring the people who brought The Witcher to life through games and on-screen.
- Exclusive behind the scenes and never before seen reveals from the franchise.
- Looks into the production and creativity behind CD PROJEKT RED’s games, including the mobile game The Witcher: Monster Slayer, comic books, fan gear, Netflix’s The Witcher, and the anime film Nightmare of the Wolf.
- Explorations of the lore, legends, monsters, and origins of the Continent.
WItcherCon will be available on Twitch and Youtube, and it will first air on July 9th at 7:00 PM CEST. Fans of the franchise will be able to partake of WItcherCon across two different streams, each one containing exclusive content. The second stream will begin at 3:00 AM CEST on July 10th.
