Never in my life did I think that I would say that I am anxiously awaiting a Dwayne Johnson movie, but I am. Quarantine has seemed to have taught me a new appreciation for the actor. Honestly, how he treats people, but also how he puts his heart and soul into everything makes me think more of him every single day.
That and the trailers for Jungle Cruise are too damn cute. What can I say – it’s my favorite ride at Disneyland. Yes, I know it’s not the most exciting one, but what can I say. I’m boring.
But boring or not, I am ready to go to another world with the movie inspired by the ride, Jungle Cruise starring Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt.
Disney has released new dueling trailer for the film. And they are both good, making us want to see it even more.
Disney’s Jungle Cruise is an adventure-filled, rollicking thrill-ride down the Amazon with wisecracking skipper Frank Wolff and intrepid researcher Dr. Lily Houghton. Lily travels from London, England to the Amazon jungle and enlists Frank’s questionable services to guide her downriver on La Quila—his ramshackle-but-charming boat. Lily is determined to uncover an ancient tree with unparalleled healing abilities—possessing the power to change the future of medicine. Thrust on this epic quest together, the unlikely duo encounters innumerable dangers and supernatural forces, all lurking in the deceptive beauty of the lush rainforest. But as the secrets of the lost tree unfold, the stakes reach even higher for Lily and Frank and their fate—and mankind’s—hangs in the balance.
The movie will be released to theaters and Disney+ Premiere on July 30.I have to admit that I love that Disney is giving options, because personally, I am not ready to return to theaters.
In addition to the trailers, Disney has also released character posters for the film.
