Yes, we have as many questions as you do. But such is the information we have on hand, so we have to speculate on it.
Annette premieres tonight at the Cannes Film Festival. We brought you the pictures yesterday, and we expressed how good the movie – and the actors – looked, and how much we wanted to see it. And that was BEFORE we read the press information provided.
Because on it, Marion Cotillard confirms that director Leos Carax wanted them to sing live. This isn’t unusual, Annette is not the first movie to do it, and it won’t be the last. The unusual thing is that Adam had to sing live WHILE pretending to give oral sex.
I cannot even process that.
This is the exact quote from Cotillard: “We found ourselves singing in very complicated positions, doing back-crawling or mimicking cunnilingus; acrobatic positions that technically modify [how you sing].”
We already wanted to watch this movie, but now there’s a part of us that just needs it. Can we have it now? Please, and thank you.

That movie looks strange. But I’m intrigued and will definitely watch it!
