Deadline is reporting that Milly Alcock and Emily Carey have been cast in recurring roles in HBO’s House of the Dragon. House of the Dragon is the prequel to the successful television and book series Game of Thrones.
Milly Alcock has been cast as young Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen. Emma D’Arcy was cast as the older Rhaenyra. Emily Carey will also play Young Alicent Hightower as Olivia Cooke was cast as the older version.

Targaryen history can get a little complicated, but House of the Dragon will focus on the Fire & Blood books from the Thrones universe. It is set roughly 300 years before Game of Thrones.
Carey has previously been cast in Wonder Woman and the live-action Anastasia. Alcock’s casting credits include Reckoning, Upright, and The Gloaming.
Filming has already started on House of the Dragon and they join cast Rhys Ifans as Otto Hightower, Steve Toussaint as Lord Corlys Velaryon “The Sea Snake”, and Matt Smith as Prince Daemon Targaryen.
