I have to admit that I want to seeStillwater, but the chances of me heading into a movie theater – well those are slim to none. Then again, I am a little torn, because the movie did receive a five minute standing ovation at Cannes.
And that says something.
The movie is about, “an American oil-rig roughneck from Oklahoma who travels to Marseille to visit his estranged daughter, in prison for a murder she claims she did not commit. Confronted with language barriers, cultural differences, and a complicated legal system, Bill builds a new life for himself in France as he makes it his personal mission to exonerate his daughter.”
Stillwaterhits theaters on July 30. Will you head to theaters to see it?
