One of the most powerful songs – for me – from Dear Evan Hansen is You Will Be Found. It’s a beautiful song that reminds us all that even in the darkest of times, there will be someone that finds you. It’s a reminder that you are not alone.
“That idea of being found, of being seen is really elemental to what it is to be a human being,” Julianne Moore said in a featurette about the song.
And it’s true. We all want to be found and seen.
Ben Platt has been busy doing press for the upcoming movie and that means a lot of performances. We’re not complaining – we want all the performances by the entire cast.
He appeared on America’s Got Talent, and performed You Will Be Found for the show.
“Often times the moment that we’re in feels like the only moment that will ever exist. That’s not the case,” Amandla Stenberg had said about the song in the featurette about the song for the movie.
We’re living in unprecedented times and we’re thankful that this song exists.
