One more day, one more review! Chicago Party Aunt 1×04 “Tailgate Jailgate” teaches us how we all need our nemesis to face a situation that we have no idea how to deal with. Time for review!
Here we go!
What would become of us without our nemesis? Diane and her family meet theirs at Chicago Party Aunt 1×04 “Tailgate Jailgate” during one of Chicago’s most typical celebrations and… nothing goes as expected. The news of their parents destabilizes Diane and Bonnie and what hurts them the most is that their parents are going to sell their season passes to their arch enemies … right?
Their parents are going to separate and is something that neither Bonnie nor Diane are prepared to face. They are their parents. Due to many difficulties or problems in life, they have always been together and Diane and Bonnie have seen them support each other, now that is collapsing and it is something they don’t know how to deal with.
No matter how crazy and dysfunctional their lives were, their parents and their relationship have always brought them stability, it’s like something they took for granted, they were there and they would always be there. But not now … and they can’t bear it. So they only have to fight against it … although in a different way.
While Diane focuses more on ending her nemesis, trying to avoid facing what she really feels because it hurts too much, Bonnie tries to get her parents take back the magic. Although nothing is as easy as just wishing it.
The decision of Bonnie and Diane’s parents is considered and made knowing that it is the best for them and the best for everyone. They know that their happiness is now in different places … and they deserve to be happy. They don’t want to make their daughters feel bad but they should put themselves first.
The funny thing is that Bonnie and Diane come together more than ever with a common goal in Chicago Party Aunt 1×04 “Tailgate Jailgate” and both change roles a bit, which is good for them to understand each other. Putting yourself in the shoes of the other and having empathy is really necessary to understand where the words or actions come from, to understand that other person. And I think they both needed this. Understand each other more than they ever had and work towards a common goal.
And it’s the first time we’ve seen Bonnie a bit like Diane. She was always so correct, so restrained, so… thoughtful. While Diane is madness and impulsiveness, Bonnie is rationality, but in Chicago Party Aunt 1×04 “Tailgate JailgateTailgate Jailgate” everything changes and we see Bonnie lose control, get carried away and give a good beating to someone who deserved it. Because even when someone is not conflictive … everything has a limit. And I love seeing this… half-wild side of Bonnie, uninhibited. Hopefully we see it more often.
In the end, Bonnie and Diane must recognize that what is really affecting them is the situation of their parents and both face what they feel and they understand that what they want or desire doesn’t matter, what really matter is their parents are well and happy … And if this is how they are going to be, they are not going to be an impediment.
As a side note, it’s funny how our nemesis look so much like us. But we suppose that is the thing with nemesis, they are like us and, therefore, they force us to improve ourselves and to be better. Somehow, we need them.
On his part, Daniel manages to find a way to have fun and discover new things in an unexpected place. And it’s great the way he’s rediscovering everything in his life.
Here ends our Chicago Party Aunt 1×04 “Tailgate Jailgate” review. We will be back tomorrow with a new one. Stay tuned!
