I am pretty sure someone will get pissed at me for saying this, but I forgot who Chord Overstreet was. Yes, I know, I know – he was in Glee, but lets be honest, do we know what most of the cast is up to these days? I don’t.
But hey, Netflix has a way of reminding you of things and telling you what you need, even if you didn’t know you needed it. Yes, it’s like Target in that way. Well, that and its logo being red.
The streaming service had previously announced that they had tapped Lindsay Lohan to star in a holiday rom-com for the streaming service, and I have to admit I was excited. I mean, Lindsay is all over the place at times, but when it comes down to it, she’s talented as fuck. And we should never, ever forget or neglect her musical talents.
Rumors is a bop.
Netflix has told us that we need Chord Overstreet and Lindsay Lohan in a movie together. Though the holiday rom-com doesn’t have a title or a release date, but it has these two. Let us not question the Netflix Gods tell us that we need.
The movie is about, “a newly engaged, spoiled hotel heiress who gets into a skiing accident and suffers from total amnesia. During her recovery, around Christmastime, she finds herself in the care of a handsome, blue-collar lodge owner and his precocious daughter.”
Sounds a little Overboard movie-esque to me, but I will take it because it’s a holiday movie and I love those.
Also starring in the movie are George Young (Malignant), Jack Wagner (When Calls the Heart) and Olivia Perez (In the Heights). Janeen Damian (A Christmas Waltz) is directing, along with co-writing the screenplay alongside Jeff Bonnett, Ron Oliver and Michael Damian.
No word on a release date yet, but you know I will be watching out for it.
