We have a first official look at How I Met Your Father and we are living for it.

Sophie’s story will take place in 2021, where her and her friends -Jesse (Chris Lowell), Valentina (Francia Raisa), Charlie (Tom Ainsley), Ellen (Tien Tran), and Sid (Suraj Sharma) – are all working on figuring out their lives, falling in love, and navigating it all with the pressures of the world.
Recently Kim Cattrall was added to the cast as the older Sophie – similar to the role that Bob Saget had in How I Met Your Father.
The show is a spin-off of How I Met Your Mother, which in my opinion, ran way too long. This iteration is written by Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger will also executive produce. If you want to know who else is producing that would be – executive producing are How I Met Your Mother creators/exec producers Carter Bays and Craig Thomas and the original series’ director/exec producer Pam Fryman. Adam Londy serves as co-executive producer, and Hillary Duff serves as a producer.
No release date has been set, but it is rumored to be slated for an early 2022 release.
