We love Matthew Goode. He won us over in A Discovery Of Witches. It’s a fact. So when we found out that he was one of the stars in the Silent Night movie, we were totally in. We can’t wait to fall in love with Matthew all over again. Are you interested? We have your back and here is the trailer, key art, and first look. Ready?
Here we go!
AMC+ and RLJE Films released the key art and an all-new trailer for the darkly comedic drama Silent Night, which is set to debut in theaters and stream exclusively in North America on Friday, December 3. Marking writer Camille Griffin’s directorial debut, the film focuses on a group of friends that comes together for an eventful Christmas dinner and stars Keira Knightley, Matthew Goode, Roman Griffin Davis, Annabelle Wallis, Lily-Rose Depp, Ṣọpé Dìrísù, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Lucy Punch, Rufus Jones and Trudie Styler among others.
But what is Silent Night about?
From producers Matthew Vaughn (Kingsman franchise), Trudie Styler (Moon), and Celine Rattray (The Kids Are Alright), Silent Night follows parents Nell (Knightley) and Simon (Goode) who have invited their closest friends to join their family for Christmas dinner at their idyllic home in the English countryside. As the group comes together, it feels like old times – but behind all of the laughter and merriment, something is not quite right. The world outside is facing impending doom, and no amount of gifts, games or Prosecco can make mankind’s imminent destruction go away. Surviving the holidays just got a lot more complicated.
Intriguing, right? And that’s just the beginning, it’s time to see the trailer.
WARNING! Matthew Goode is too hot in Silent Night. Significant risk of spontaneous combustion.
Of course, when friends get together at Christmas you know it’s going to be a mess, but you don’t expect this kind of mess. You expect something like puke, fights, very drunk people, and maybe some crazy sex type of mess, but not running and fighting for your life.
And the first look doesn’t give us too many clues as to how all this is going to end…
