If we’re being honest, everything can be a fandom. Some of the time fandom can be a dirty word. If there is anything that we have learned over the years, it’s that we’re gonna piss some people off with some strongly worded opinions about what the people behind the fandoms are doing right or wrong.
Fandom is subjective – we all know this. But fandom is life.
For the record, we had 112 favorite fandom accounts and had to pull names to make this list short. Fandom is so good these days that there are so many great outlets giving us so much great content.
Here’s some of our favorites –
What? We love us some Harry and Meghan. Part of what makes a good fan account is that they are covering the good, the bad, and the ugly, but never falter from being a fan. Sussex Daily knows that Harry and Meghan can be controversial, but there are no fucks given. What they excel at is that they cover everything and never loose their passion or become stale.
Don’t judge us but we love a feed that is not overly curated. We love a feed that just gives us all of the information, the snippets, and the love for the fandom. We love a fandom that makes the fandom relatable. And hey, this is something that Kingdom of Maas does. They make sure that you can understand the fandom, even if you haven’t read the books. From the excerpts to the memes to the vids, everything is just everything. As we dive deeper into the Sarah J. Maas fandom, we’re loving them even more.
We know, we know – it technically is an official account, but in true Taylor fashion, it doesn’t feel like it. What it feels like is a complete fandom account, because it speaks to the fans. It makes the fans feel as though they are a part of everything that Taylor does. It makes the fan feel as though they are important – which we all know – to Taylor they are.
So many people need to pay attention to what Netflix does, because they know how to speak to fandom. While normally, we shy away from an overly curate feed, right here we don’t. We embrace it – because it works and is BEAUTIFUL. Netflix knows that they have something special with Bridgerton and know that part of the love that people show for the show, is the aesthetic. And they bring that, as well as content that the fans want to the account.
One of our favorite kind of accounts are ones that find all of the places that we can buy clothes or highlight fashion. As we can’t wait for the Sex and The City reboot, so we’re loving their showcasing of the new and the old. Gets us excited!
Look, is it the prettiest thing in the world? Nope. But here is the thing – it reminds of what fandom is. It feels like the true fan – the fan that really has a genuine love for the fandom. So many times now, fan pages have become over curated and feel like they are in it for the notoriety and not for the love of the fandom.
Again, we’re dealing with Netflix here, who knows how to cater to fandom. They give a front of the camera and a behind the scenes look at what it takes to put everything together. They know the ships, they know the scenes that fandoms love, and they run with it. We love it. They are the account that gives you a little and you feels satisfied, but makes you beg for more.
If you aren’t into K-Dramas, you are missing out on some really great television. I don’t know what it is, but K-Dramas draw you in, keep a hold on you and remind you what it is that you ever loved about dramas. The angst, the drama, the love… fuck, when the actors in these shows cry, you cry. When they laugh, you laugh. And who would have known that a simple kiss could be so damn hot.
Daily K-Dramas captures all of this. And we’re thankful for them.
Sometimes you can feel that an account is a little biased, especially with Bravo accounts. But with Queens of Bravo, you just feel like there are no fucks left to give, and they are going to give you the pure unedited truth. We stan that. Give us personality. Give us your opinion. That’s what we’re here for.
We are One Chicago stans. You all know that. We would love to go to Molly’s and we love this account because it captures the fandom. We may not always agree with them – but that’s life and fandom. The great thing is that even though we have differences of opinions, they are the type of account that is always willing to have a good conversation. Their podcast is definitely something we suggest.
We obsess over After Chronicle’s Tik Tok. We love her edits. Her account is always positive, supportive, and well rounded. They support the fandom – both movie and book. They seem to be able to find anything at any time, and you can tell they have a genuine love for the fandom.
We love Hallmark. Especially at Christmas. But there are so few accounts that really capture the down home feeling that Hallmark gives. But Hallmarkies does. They have a genuine love for the fandom, the actors, and the stories that the channel has to tell. We can appreciate that.
What are your favorite fandom accounts? Leave them in the comments.
