The year is almost over! Yes, it seems incredible that we survived until December but here we are. At Fangirlish we take advantage of this moment to collect the best that this year gave us. It’s the turn of the best tv moments of the year!
Here we go!
Upstead Wedding ~ One Chicago
Upstead are married! Of course, this moment had to be on our list. I mean, this wedding is just the two of them. Only the love they feel for each other, when you marry the right person, you don’t need more. The whole world and the future are in her/his eyes. And that’s just what this scene makes you feel.
Heart Drink Moment ~ A Discovery of Witches
Oh yeah! This scene is one of the best TV moments of the year! I could have added the wedding or the proposal but I think this scene is…everything. It’s the moment in which Bishmont AKA Diana and Matthew know the darkest parts of the other’s soul, those parts that they were afraid to show, especially him, and the best thing is that it shows how the two love and embrace those parts of the other. Because that’s true love.
Burzek ~ One Chicago
Burzek had to be on this list! At Fangirlish we’re huge fans of this couple and while there are moments that can be sweeter than the hallway scene where Kim asks Adam to be her little daughter’s tutor, I think this scene is the most important because It shows how Kim trusts that Adam is the man she needs, how she trusts that he is telling her the truth when he says that he is ready and we also see how he shows Kim with facts that, indeed, he is.
Jamie and Claire ~ Outlander
Lately, in Outlander we have lived more anguished moments than happy ones but one of the most special moments occurs on Roger and Bree’s wedding night in which we see all the couples enjoying their love. These scenes may not be as passionate as in season 1 but we still feel that flame of love between Jamie and Claire. A flame that doesn’t go out with the passing of the years and that never will.
Yennefer Fighting ~ The Witcher
We love Yennefer. It’s a fact. But I never loved her more than when she used all of her strength, even what she felt she hasn’t, to fight that war and save them all. She always came out on her own, sacrificing what she most wanted to do so, and this scene is the vindication of a character who is strong not despite her vulnerability, but thanks to it.
Sharpwin Love ~ New Amsterdam
Finally! After so many years, the two of them finally gave us what the fans were dying to see. Max and Helen dared to live their love and since then, they have not stopped taking steps…together. PS: the “mom” scene, THAT moment!
Chenford Dance and Hug ~ The Rookie
Of course, Chenford was going to be on this list! And we include both moments because…just because we couldn’t choose just one of them. Chenford is dancing on top of each other during this time but each time the force that draws them closer is greater and more powerful. And it’s wonderful.
Garden Moment ~ Bridgerton
Yeah! There are two huge moments in the garden in Bridgerton season 1 but the one in the last episode, in which Simon and Daphne seem more apart than ever because neither of them knows how to show their love is…perfect in its imperfection. Everything is a mess, and yet it never felt better. Because they are both together, right in the eye of the hurricane. And they wouldn’t do it any other way.
Shea Proposition ~ The Good Doctor
Despite the bitter ending of the last episode of The Good Doctor, Shea’s proposition is always etched on my retina. It was simple, spontaneous and so sincere, so…real that it touched me like never before. Because when you love someone, you have no doubts about how far you want to go with him/her.
Bloom conversion ~ Fate: The Winx Saga
Yeah! It was one of the great moments of Fate: The Winx Saga. In this show, I love Terra above all things but I have to admit that the complete conversion of Bloom into a fairy was shocking and beautiful.
