Look, at first we were iffy on the guy. Then we started warming up to him. Then, when she went to bat for Sylvie, we started loving him. But we didn’t see the Hawkami feelings that have overtaken us — and the internet — coming. And, perhaps it’s not going to last (although, although ….IT SHOULD), but that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy the moment right now.
And hope for the best. For more. If the strength of the fandom’s feelings about this subject is to be believed, well …they want everything. And, after what we got this week, Chicago Fire keeping Hawkins and Hawkami around is a possibility that must not be discounted.
Because… why would they be giving us THESE LOOKS FOR NO REASON?
We refuse to believe it. S.S Hawkami is sailing and we — and the fandom — are all for it.
Plus, like, the setup for this was AMAZING.
The power they hold, the power.
Plus, like, Jimmy Nicholas forever. This is it, he can never, ever leave.

Chicago Fire airs Wednesdays on NBC.
I am very much in the minority here but I am not too much excited for this pairing. Don’t get me wrong, I love Violet, she is one of my favorite but I was disappointed to see her arc this season go from ‘will they/won’t they’ with Gallo to moving onto Hawkins. This season her episodes have primarily focused on her feelings for the two of them.
A show with limited female characters, each one has been primarily tied to a romance arc this season. Can we see the three badass women shine on their own? I want to see Violet stoylines, along with Stella and Sylvie, showcase what great paramedics and firefighter they are. I want to know more about her, who she is a person.
