The Santa Clause is one of our favorite Christmas franchises, so yes, we are excited for the limited series that is coming to Disney+.
Elizabeth Allen-Dick has joined the limited series as a series regular, playing her dads on-screen daughter. She will play the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clause, Sandra. Sandra is a bit rough and tumble, has a passionate sense of right and wrong, and is a bit lonely. She has a connection animals and loves them.
The series will be about, “Scott Calvin is on the brink 65th birthday and realizing that he can’t be Santa forever. He’s starting to lose a step in his Santa duties, and more importantly, he’s got a family who could benefit from a life in the normal world, especially his two kids who have grown up at the Pole. With a lot of elves, children, and family to please, Scott sets out to find a suitable replacement Santa while preparing his family for a new adventure in a life south of the pole.”
Now we aren’t sure that it will be titled The Santa Clause, after all it is a working title. But we’re excited to see both Tim Allen and Elizabeth Mitchell both return to a holiday world that we love.
Kal Penn is also returning to the series. Joining The Santa Clause as series regulars are Austin Kane, Rupali Redd and Devin Bright.
