Harry Styles is one busy man. He’s got his third album, Harry’s House, releasing in two weeks. But that’s not all. He also has: some One Night Only album release performances in London and New York, two movies Don’t Worry Darling and My Policeman (still waiting on more news for this one) releasing sometime this year, and some TV appearances including The Today Show for their Citi Summer Concert series on May 19.
Now, we can add a North American tour to that already-hefty schedule.
Earlier this year, after Harry Styles completed his Love On Tour shows, he announced that he would be kicking off Love On Tour 2022 in the UK, Europe, and South America this summer. The Love On Tour shows he completed last year were all part of the North American leg. Color us surprised when he announced yet another North American tour is happening this year, as well. Yup, that’s right, Harry Styles is coming back to the United States later this year to bring us ‘Love On Tour 2022.’
You’re probably wondering why we said we were surprised that Harry Styles is going to be doing another tour. But we’re speaking from the perspective of fans who just assumed after the 2021 shows, Harry wouldn’t be coming back to the US for awhile. COVID-19 changed a whole lot of things for everyone—especially tour schedules. Basically, every musician who was supposed to go on tour in 2020/2021 had to push their dates back a million times over. Harry was able to do a few shows in the US last year, thanks to the pandemic slowing down a bit. From what we know, each and every show was successful. And, for the most part, everyone followed all the mask guidelines.
What’s unique about this particular North American set of shows is the location and the duration. Harry is literally hitting up a few states and staying for an extended period of time, almost like a residency of sorts. Shows set to take place at both Madison Square Garden in New York and the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California are each going to be 10 nights! Did you hear us? We said 10 nights! That is a lot of shows. Also, that’s 10 chances to try and get tickets to at least one show. If you have never tried to purchase tickets to a Harry Styles show, then you don’t understand. It is a lot like The Hunger Games…because may the odds be ever in your favor, bitch! (Yeah, we know that’s not exactly what Effie Trinket said, but that’s how it feels).
We’re looking forward to Harry’s North American tour dates. And we hope that all goes smoothly so each and every date can happen safely. Obviously, the ideal situation would be that we can go maskless so Harry can see all of our full faces. But if we gotta mask up again like last time, that’s what we shall do.
We also know, with Harry having a new album to showcase on tour, that leaves endless possibilities for songs he could possibly do. That being said, we do hope that Harry can get some rest in between. Exhaustion is a real thing, and we know self-care is important. Until then, we will be keeping all of our Harry Styles albums in heavy rotation.
