Some movies we have to keep hyping up, and Billy Porter’s directorial debut, titled Anything’s Possible, is one of them. The movie, which will premiere this Friday on Prime Video, and whose trailer we’ve already seen, “is a delightfully modern Gen Z coming-of-age story that follows Kelsa, a confident high school girl who is trans, as she navigates through senior year.”
That’s not all, of course, as the synopsis continues with “When her classmate Khal gets a crush on her, he musters up the courage to ask her out, despite the drama he knows it could cause. What transpires is a romance that showcases the joy, tenderness, and pain of young love.”
We’ll be watching on Friday. And then probably re-watching during the weekend. Not just because this is the kind of movie that needs our support — stories like Kelsa’s are more important now than ever — but because it sounds super soft and we’re always here for a good romance.
