Spy Kids is an institution. It’s one of those franchises that we have always loved and has a big part of in our youth. Yes, we said youth. Back off.
Rebooting it? Not something we’re necessarily on board with, but we have learned that sometimes a reboot works out. We’re trying to hold out judgement for this one, because we want to love it with the cast that they are putting together.
Gina Rodriguez, Zachary Levi, Everly Carganilla, and Connor Esterson have been announced previously as cast members. Joining them now is No Time To Die actor, Billy Magnussen.
Spy Kids latest installment is set after the, “children of the world’s greatest secret agents unwittingly help a powerful game developer unleash a computer virus that gives him control of all technology, leading them to become spies themselves to save their parents and the world.” The series is yet untitled.
We’re intrigued.
We also like to look at Billy Magnussen.
His credits also include Game Night, The Many Saints of Newark, Aladdin and TV’s Tell Me a Story and Maniac, as well as the upcoming Netflix movie Lift.
