We’re obsessing over the trailer for Devotion, which tells the story of, “A pair of U.S. Navy fighter pilots risk their lives during the Korean War and become some of the Navy’s most celebrated wingmen.”
The movie is based on Devotion: An Epic Story of Heroism, Friendship, and Sacrifice by Adam Makos.
“A couple of different people had mentioned the book,” Glen Powell, one of the film’s executive producers and stars, told EW. “I ended up going on a fishing trip with my family and everybody was reading Devotion. My uncle had read it, my cousins were reading it, my dad was about to read it, and I picked it up. We got to talk about this story, and what it meant, and the fact that this was a war that no one knew about, a relationship that no one knew about.”
Devotion is written by Jake Crane and Jonathan A.H. Stewart. Devotion stars Glen Powell, Daren Kagasoff, Nick Hargrove, Serinda Swan, Spencer Neville, Jonathan Majors, Thad Luckinbill, Thomas Sadoski, Joe Jonas, and Christina Jackson.
What do you think of the trailer? Will you be watching the movie? The movie is set to have its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2022 and is scheduled to be theatrically released on November 23, 2022.
