Vampire Academy‘s Lissa Dragomir might be the “last” of her family, with a romance on the rocks, a friendship that needs work, and a possible kingdom to rule. But you know what she also is? She is a fashion icon.
Seriously, every time this Moroi is on the scene, she turns heads.
It doesn’t matter if she’s in the middle of mourning or having a flashback, that girl will bring out the best in her wardrobe. The best so happens to be fur hats and boa dresses, but we’re living for it and looking forward to what she brings as the series continues on Peacock.
So, here’s a list of 6 looks that are absolute fire from our soon-to-be Queen.
1. That time Lissa was chic while also mourning
Why Lyra loves it: Our girl is in the middle of mourning her family in an outfit that looks more expensive than everything I own. Seriously, even that umbrella looks to be top quality. I just hope I look that good while going through the motions of life. *looks at mirror* Nope. I don’t.
What Lizzie thinks: All I can say about this one is that it’s not as bad as some of her other looks. It’s almost understated for Lissa, if we’re being honest.
2. That time Lissa was hitting the town in red
Why Lyra loves it: Leave it to her to look so adorable on her first real outing into the human world with no supervision. She’s giving me “comfort” vibes with a side of “I can totally go out to class or the club” in this outfit. And it’s fire. On an extra side note, it’s proof that she looks good in red. Always.
What Lizzie thinks: This is probably one of the few Lissa outfits I can see myself wearing. She also just looks young and fun in this, which, granted, isn’t the vibes the show is going for in general, but hey, it’s a good outfit.
3. That time Lissa was basically a walking feather boa
Why Lyra loves it: Everyone else in the room was rocking a feathery hat and just blending in with everyone else. But no, our girl decided that she was going to bring the feathery boa look but in a dress version. And I have to believe that she planned it as so. After all, she’s going to be Queen someday and they stand out.
What Lizzie thinks: Yeah, it’s a no for me. Not horrible when compared to others, but also not great. At least the color looks good on her? But that style just isn’t for anyone.
4. That time Lissa proved these fur hats are in
Why Lyra loves it: Personally, I’ve never thought of fur hats as a fashion statement until Vampire Academy. Like, I know they’re not in Florida or something but…not everyone is wearing fur hats like it’s cold as hell. But here our girl is, wearing it up without a care for the way it’s going to make her head sweaty. Fashion first. Sweaty head second.
What Lizzie thinks: Aesthetics aside, I’m very much against fur hats as a general rule. And also HOW IS SHE THE ONLY ONE THAT’S EVER THIS LEVEL OF COLD?
5. That time Lissa looked like pink excellence
Why Lyra loves it: I just want one moment like this. One moment when I enter a room, about to propose to the love of my life, to just turn around and look like pink excellence that has descended from the heavens to bless us with its floofiness. I just need one moment, God. That is all I have to say about this look.
What Lizzie thinks: This is probably her worst offense and she had to choose this monstrosity to propose? Talk about adding insult to injury. God bless Christian, who loves Lissa for who she is and not what she’s wearing.
6. That time Lissa looked good in red, again
Why Lyra loves it: Again, a moment where she’s going through something with her bestie Rose, and she still looks flawless. Is there a hair out of place? No. Does she look amazing in red all over again? Absolutely. She’s an icon, star, and a vision of the future Queen we’re going to hopefully get. Soon.
What Lizzie thinks: This one is pretty decent, all Lissa outfits considered. The red looks good on her and though she definitely looks like she’s stuck in a different era, at least she looks good. And her jewelry game is on point, no one can deny that.
Vampire Academy is available to stream on Peacock.
