We are here for another week! The Rookie 5×12 “Death Notice” shows Chenford’s strength and what they are for each other as it throws us some surprises. Time for a review! Ready?
Here we go!
Daily Chenford Isn’t So Easy in The Rookie 5×12 “Death Notice”

Chenford is so unbelievably cute and sexy in The Rookie 5×12 “Death Notice” that they actually had me drooling the whole episode. Being in a relationship and working together is not an easy thing for a couple. And less when day after day they have challenged each other as Tim and Lucy did.
Lucy doesn’t want Tim to treat her any differently than he normally would, but he can’t help it because everything has changed. Tim loves her. How is that not going to change things? Yes, in a normal situation, he wouldn’t have searched so much for those rings but he doesn’t intend to get the woman he loves in trouble. Tim just can’t be objective, not anymore.
IeTim always had a hard time being objective with Lucy but in The Rookie 5×12 “Death Notice” they are together, and that inevitably changed everything. There is a very vivid and tangible emotional bond between them and that throws objectivity out the window. Tim doesn’t even realize what’s going on, he just…can’t think of any other way to behave now that they’ve taken the big step.
And that, although logical and cute, is a problem when he and Lucy work together daily. There will be times when Lucy will do something and she will need him to be her boss and mentor, not her boyfriend. And other times when they will face danger and both will need to focus on duty, not the other’s well-being.
That is exactly what Lucy tries to make Tim see during The Rookie 5×12 “Death Notice” and, when he finally realizes it, they must find a solution. In reality, they only have two options: break up or have one of them switch places.
Sexy and Hot Chenford in The Rookie 5×12 “Death Notice”

In retrospect, given the short time, they have been together, the most logical and easy thing to do would have been to break up. However, neither of them sees it as a possibility and that, in itself, sends us a clear message that they both think that what they have is not something temporary, but rather something worth exchanging part of their lives for. It’s something worth fighting for.
As if this wasn’t a clear message, Tim wasn’t able to quit his job and move to New York for Rachel, nor did he retire for Ashley, but he, clearly a man of action, took a desk job at The Rookie 5×12 “Death Notice” by Lucy. Because what they have now wasn’t born two days ago, but has been brewing for years.
The relationship they maintain is serious and it’s the endgame. They love each other, plain and simple. They both want a future together, they love each other too much to let go anytime soon and The Rookie 5×12 “Death Notice” is clear proof of that.
In the end *the* night comes and it’s…awesome! The way Tim looks at Lucy when she’s admiring his abs…goddess, that looks sexy and hot. That look is a look that burns not only with passion but also with love. We said what we said.
Other Stuff in The Rookie 5×12 “Death Notice”

- Grey knew it!
- “It’s the most amazing relationship I’ve ever had!”
- “This night is the night.”
- “Your place or mine?”
- Again, this mystical Celina resource doesn’t quite convince me.
- I’m going to miss Chenford flirting at work. I mean, I understand why they have to separate them but I would have loved to have them together at work for a while longer.
- Angela is pregnant, why? She had made it clear that she didn’t want to because she wasn’t ready for another baby right now. It feels unfair that the show hasn’t let her be.
- Lyla!!!! Arrow fans will understand me on this one (wink, wink).
- Castle father and daughter reunion still brings tears to my eyes.
- Nyla is absolutely right about that, Angela. It’s called a conflict of interest.
- I still don’t like this story and even less when two of my favorite women fight over it…although I’m glad they reconciled. Angela is just scared and needs to feel that she is in control and that she can protect her family…but she has to outsmart and trust that the right way to protect them is to let Nyla take over.
- Lucy’s lessons are Evil!!!
- “Your boyfriend is here!” That dialogue is music to my ears.
- I have no idea why, but I like Oscar. He’s fun!
