We watch a lot of TV, in case all the reviews, interviews, news, and features didn’t give you a clue (wink, wink), so we decided to come together once a week to highlight all those great moments that our favorite shows give us throughout the week. There are five categories and many thoughts! Ready?
Here we go!
Badass Character of the Week

Raquel: Lucy Chen trying to get her love a job where he’s happy is one of the hottest, badass things of the week. I said what I said.
Lizzie: Everyone and their mother knew that death was coming in The Last of Us and yet it STILL HURT. Maybe because Anna Torv just makes everything better, and that includes Tess as a character. But just… Joel might be the hero of this story, but he and Ellie wouldn’t have gotten anywhere without Tess. Tess, who was strong and kind — but also ruthless and cunning. Tess what, perhaps, what we would be if we lived in that world, and it’s sad we won’t get more of her.
Lyra: I’m gonna go with Blake and Luna from Wolf Pack. I know it’s early and we’ve just met them. But I already like where they’re going with this. Hopefully, when they’re really brought together they’ll form a strong bond because I’m sick and tired of young women being adversaries for reasons. These young women are a pack now and with Blake’s resourcefulness and Luna’s knowledge, they can do anything!
Shana: Since Lyra already took my new fave Blake from Wolf Pack, I’m going to go with ongoing fave Sergeant Bell from Organized Crime. She wasn’t taking no for an answer, not even from her new boss, and she made sure to walk right up to the line in her conversation with him without crossing it. Add the fact that it takes a lot of strength and courage to reopen a case and admit an investigation like that might have been botched…Yeah. She’s definitely a badass of the week.
OTP of the Week

Raquel: Although Chenford of The Rookie is still in my heart, this week I’m going to choose Shea as my OTP. The last episode of The Good Doctor was one more test that this couple had to overcome. Amid fear for their baby, for Lea’s life, and bitter memories of the recent loss of their other child, they both found the strength to hold hands and get through it all together. But more than that, they found a way to understand each other’s needs and take charge of them as they cared for their baby together. And it was worth it.
Liv: Will and Jessie from Love Island. They are the only couple I am wholeheartedly rooting for. They never put anyone else down and always have the cutest chats. Will is also the cutest, he isn’t afraid to show his soft side.
Shana: Now, I know y’all aren’t asking for anything out of me other than EO.
Moment that made you collapse into a puddle of FEELS

Raquel: Although The Rookie gave me a lot of feels this week, I’m going to repeat the choice on this one and say The Good Doctor again. Shaun arrived at the hospital against everyone’s judgment. Glassman had to put his position on the table to get Shaun accepted as just another medical trainee. So seeing all the friends, the family, that Shaun — and Lea — earned over the years waiting with him for news about Lea and their baby made me cry. And I don’t even sorry.
Lyra: Tess (spoiler) dying in The Last of Us. I knew it was coming, but somehow it hurt even more to see Tess talk about her feelings for Joel, make him promise to take Ellie, and then set everything on fire to give them time. She, like Sarah, deserved better. But for what it’s worth, Joel will always remember her words and keep them close. He will save the ones he can. And he will put this right.
Shana: Continuing on my point from above: That entire EO scene, while certainly not what the promo led some viewers to believe it would be, wrecks me every time I think about it. I already went into a ton of detail in my review, but there are still so many more pieces to that puzzle. Watching Olivia being unable to hold herself up after she pulls herself away from Elliot, with all the weight of…everything, really…on her shoulders — now with the added agony of having to resist something she wants so badly it hurts — definitely left me in a puddle.
And. All. The. Touching!!!!!!! We can break down all the ways the franchise has mismanaged that relationship, but it doesn’t even matter if we’re solely looking at what creates a visceral, emotional reaction for a lot of people. It’s a simple formula: Put Hargitay and Meloni in a room together, let the camera do the camera thing. Puddle of feels activated. Every. Time…and this particular time is the closest they’ve ever been. (Help.)
Quote of the Week

Raquel: “We’re family” – Astrid to Sophie, Leverage: Redemption
Lyra: “Save who you can save.” – Tess to Joel, The Last of Us
Shana: “I don’t have a phone because I don’t need to talk to people like you.” – Blake to Everett in Wolf Pack.
WTF Moment of the Week

Raquel: Who invited everyone to Nolan’s house in a chat that he’s not a part of? It was really fun watching this scene in The Rookie but I was like…WHAT?! LMAO.
Liv: I didn’t think I could love Derek more. Then the Teen Wolf Movie came out and it was so good until they killed off Derek. Even though they had literally been building it up all six seasons and throughout the movie, Derek Hale’s death ruined me. It was also completely unnecessary and left me heartbroken. I wanted more Dad and son moments between him and Eli!
Ashley W.: MAJOR SPOILER ALERT FOR THE WINCHESTERS!
Dean Winchester making a (photographic) cameo on an episode of The Winchesters that aired on his birthday? I absolutely yelled at my TV when this happened! It’s exciting and confusing at the same time, and I’m hoping this will finally clarify how this story works in reference to Supernatural.
Lyra: I’m with Liv. The Teen Wolf Movie ruined me and I’ll never be the same. Derek Hale deserved better and I’m so ready for all the fanfictions that are going to fix this and fix it now!
Shana: I say this as a newb to the ‘verse, but like…basically every time I saw any kind of animal, whatsoever, in Wolf Pack. But it’s WTF in a good way? I don’t know how else to put it, but I was like “OMGWTF Y’ALL” in the best way.
